Analytics

The WAF Analytics dashboard provides visibility into security events detected and mitigated by the edge security services. It highlights key metrics such as the number of blocked requests, rule matches, and traffic trends over time. These insights help you monitor potential threats, understand how your security services are protecting applications, and adjust security policies as needed.

The analytics page is divided into three main sections:

  1. Traffic Graph – Visualizes the volume of incoming requests over time, helping you spot traffic spikes and trends that may indicate attacks or unusual activity.
  2. Top Stats – Summarizes key metrics such as the number of blocked requests, rule hits, and other high-level statistics to give a quick overview of WAF performance.
  3. Sampled Logs – Displays a selection of detailed request logs, allowing you to investigate specific events, verify rule enforcement, and analyze potentially malicious traffic.

Filtering Traffic

You can zoom in on a specific segment of your traffic. You can do this in one of the following ways:

  1. Click on the Include or Exclude buttons when hovering over a top stat.
  2. Define a filter at the top of the page.

Note: When you apply a filter, the Traffic Graph, Top Stats, and Sampled Logs are filtered accordingly.
